SUNCHILD VZW rents rooms or "self-supplying-rooms" for the most vulnerable homeless people in Nigerian society, mostly young girls who are often rejected, abandoned or orphaned, put on the street by circumstances and thus thrown into a dangerous situation, including rape are one of the greatest, dangerous, consequences. SUNCHILD believes that we must protect these people by giving them a roof over their heads and thus giving them a first structural step towards a better and safer life.

A step further is a study education, so that they can later pursue a profession and take care of themselves. In the future we want to make these young people more resilient and help them start their own business; a sewing workshop, a salon for hair works, a grocery shop, water supply, mechanic, plumber, in short, plenty of options!

SUNCHILD helps them learn to take care of themselves in the first place, after their studies, but we can take the first steps thanks to your support and help!

Renting a room costs SUNCHILD about 15 € per month in Lagos mainland and in addition to the house rent, we naturally help these people initially with sufficient food and medical care. Depending on the chosen study program, we need € 150 to € 200 per year for school fees, plus the costs of books and notebooks plus various study materials.

YOU CAN SUPPORT OUR WORK BY REGISTERING AS A SUPPORTING MEMBER OR YOU CAN ASK SUNCHILD TO SUPPORT 1 SPECIFIC PERSON IN HER OR HIS YEARS OF SURVIVAL, THEN WE WILL CHECK TOGETHER WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS.

When you register you will receive a SUNCHILD CERTIFICATE and our newsletter plus personal contact will keep you informed on a regular basis, transparency is our goal. SUNCHILD EXISTS ONLY 2.5 YEARS AND HAS NOT HAD IT EASY IN ITS FIRST YEARS, BUT WE DO NOT GIVE UP, WE CAN'T LET THESE PEOPLE IN THE SAME.  WHATEVER IT TAKES!
